Healing from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with Neurofeedback

Understanding Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) occurs when an external force injures the brain, often resulting from falls, vehicle accidents, sports injuries, or assaults. TBIs range from mild concussions to severe brain damage, and symptoms can vary widely, including headaches, memory loss, mood changes, cognitive impairments, and difficulty concentrating. These symptoms can significantly impact daily life, making recovery and management crucial. Many of our veterans suffer from TBI due to exposure of harsh chemicals and the concussive force of explosions. To date there are roughly 900k undiagnosed/untreated veterans suffering with TBI.

The Benefits of Neurofeedback for TBI

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that helps the brain self-regulate and heal. By monitoring brainwave activity in real-time, neurofeedback provides feedback that encourages the brain to develop healthier patterns in a process called neuroplasticity. This process can lead to reduced symptoms and improved cognitive function, aiding in the recovery from TBI.

Our Treatment Process

Comprehensive Assessment: We begin with a comprehensive exam that includes a QEEG that maps the brain and allows us to see the function of the brain. We also perform a metabolic assessment to determine if there any nutritional deficiencies that need to be corrected, so the brain has all the nutrients it needs to perform optimally.

Personalized Treatment Plan: Based on the assessment, we design a customized neurofeedback training program aimed at optimizing brain function, and if needed a personalized nutrition plan. Your training sessions will be conducted in the comfort of your own home on your schedule making it convenient for you and reducing the number of visits to the Dr's office.

Ongoing Support and Monitoring: Throughout the treatment process, we provide continuous support and adjust the therapy as needed to ensure the best outcomes. Each training session is recorded and sent to the Dr's office, so that we may make any necessary changes to your plan. We will also perform re-exams and set intervals to ensure you are reaching your healthcare goals. You will have the ability to directly message with the team, so you get the support you need, when you need it.

Real Stories of Transformation

We've seen remarkable improvements in patients with TBI. For example, Emily experienced severe headaches and memory issues after a car accident. Changing lives one spine at a time

"The brain map was informative, validating even. I agreed with the results of the brain map. Once I started Neurofeedback, I noticed I felt more independent, confident in my decisions. I also felt like my memory was improving."
